Why You Need A Home PC (Personal Computer)

Now that 41.8% of Americans work from home, they need to figure out what gear they need to get their home office working.

As you know, a point of focus in every home office is the PC. You work on it, play on it, spend some of your leisure time browsing the web on it, and your kids and family spend time on it too, if they don’t have their own.

But you might be thinking about making the switch to a laptop, but here are some reasons why you might still need a home PC.

1. It’s a cheaper choice in the long run

Getting a desktop is cheaper in the long run. It is more cost-effective because, with a laptop, you need to wait for a new model to be released to get any hardware updates.

With a desktop, you can switch out old parts for newer parts relatively easily whenever you feel it is necessary. This means that you have more control over upgrading your device. So, even though you might be paying a little bit more upfront for your desktop, you’re saving money by getting something that might last a little or even a lot longer.

2. There are a wide variety of design choices

There are many different styles of desktops. Most people think of the big, bulky masses that are awkward to move and never sit right with any of your decors. But you can also get an all-in-one computer with the monitor and the PC built-in together, making it easier to store and fit into space.

3. There is a vast quantity of high-quality brands

Many brands make excellent desktops that are fast, efficient, and easy to use. Companies such as Lenovo can make reliable desktops and laptops that also support both chrome and windows products. Choosing the right brand can be a great timesaver, primarily if you’ve worked with the brand before.

4. A desktop isn’t just for work; it’s for leisure too

You can do so much more on a desktop than on a laptop. You can work, play games, stream, and create whatever you want much more quickly.

Not only will your desktop be able to handle more when it comes to your chillout time, or it comes to your children hanging out with their friends and playing video games, it also won’t get as hot overheating. Most people who prefer laptops often need to get a completely separate laptop for gaming, which can get very costly.

5. It keeps everything in one space

Although laptops are mobile, portable, and convenient, it’s easy to feel tempted to move them around the house or work from home all day in your bed.

This can be not good for your concentration. By keeping all of your work fixed in one space, you help your attention, health, and it encourages you to leave your bed in the morning (although at the moment, it might be very tempting not to).
